Aim of course
This year Capital Region Tourism, with the support and assistance of Visit Wales, will be organising learning journeys for TIC staff and businesses in and around South East Wales. The purpose is twofold:- to provide you with the opportunity to update your regional tourism product knowledge and secondly to aid in building relationships and networks with colleagues.
We have planned three days of visits, focusing on new facilities and those that have been re-developed or updated, in order to make best use of your time. These learning journeys will be taking place during May and will all be full days.
Day 1
Monday 14 May
The ‘New’ Valleys
The first of these learning journeys will take in new developments and recent upgrades in the east of our region – and will include an insight in to the many activities on offer including mountain biking and ‘glamping’ at Cwmcarn, The Rock Summit Centre, Parc Taf Bargoed and Ty Ebbw Fach. We will visit Rhymney Brewery’s brand new Visitor Centre in the World Heritage Site of Blaenavon, have a look at the restored and remodelled Bedwellty House and Park and enjoy a preview of Llanyrafon Manor, before the public get to see it!
Learning Journeys are free of charge but no shows will be invoiced at a rate of £30 per person
