About Capital Region Tourism

The Wales Tourist Board (WTB) has initiated the formation of 4 Regional Tourism
Partnerships (RTPs) across Wales, to receive devolved resources and responsibilities
for many aspects of tourism marketing and development. The RTPs are Capital
Region Tourism (CRT), South West Wales, Mid Wales and North Wales.
Established in 2002, CRT is recognised by tourism businesses in South East Wales
for investing in the future of tourism on a local level and
helping to promote such a strong product. CRT is perfectly placed to manage
change within the industry and to ensure tourism businesses
in the region capitalise on every opportunity.
The partners in CRT are all the local authorities and a broad spread of tourism, hospitality and leisure industry representatives from across the region including hoteliers and attractions providers. CRT will act as the lead body for tourism in South East Wales.
This area is defined as the Counties and Borough Counties of: Blaenau Gwent; Bridgend; Caerphilly; Cardiff; Merthyr Tydfil; Monmouthshire; Newport; Rhondda Cynon Taff; Torfaen; Vale of Glamorgan.
Our offices are located at the University of Wales Institute Cardiff, Colchester Avenue, Cardiff CF23 9XR. The main telephone number is 029 20417194 and the fax is 029 20417198.
