With the support of his Board of Directors and other local authority and industry partners, he is accountable for leading and developing the strategy which will secure the success of the industry in the region, better known as the Gateway to Wales.

Vivienne Wilfred joined Capital Region Tourism following 18 years experience in travel and tourism. She manages and encourages tourism initiatives within South East Wales, which contribute to the competitiveness of the marketplace ensuring the region can continue to compete on the World stage. Vivienne, together with dedicated Working Groups, makes decisions regarding support and funding for tourism businesses in the area.

Based at the CRT offices in Cardiff, Helen is responsible for organising CRT Board, Management and South East Wales Economic Forum Tourism Implementation Group Meetings.

Helen also manages an archive of the minutes from each meeting.

This is in addition to her office administration duties, accounts and payments.

Alice Brown began as Human Resource Development Coordinator for tourism in South East Wales in March 2008 drawing on her experience in hospitality and tourism including event organising, working for an adventure tour company and managing backpacker hostels in the UK and abroad. Her role is to facilitate skills development amongst tourism businesses in order to increase the quality and competitiveness of tourism in the region.

Bogda is well known across Southern Wales having been an attraction operator in the Vale of Glamorgan and then tourism officer for Torfaen County Borough Council before becoming a freelance consultant.

Bogda's key project areas are staff skills and product development.

Davina Standford

Davina Stanford has recently joined CRT to help cover Alice’s maternity leave. Over the next 9 months Davina will be undertaking a number of specific projects related to destination development, including a Training Needs Analysis and working with Local Authority Tourism Officers to help develop local destination management plans.

When not at CRT Davina is a tourism consultant with TEAM Tourism Consulting, an international consultancy specialising in strategic and operational planning in all aspects of destination management and marketing.
