Aim of course
With The 2010 Ryder Cup just around the corner, the chances are you’ll be welcoming Ryder Cup visitors to your Golf Club – be it before, during or after The 2010 Ryder Cup.
• In 2009, golf tourism had a value to Wales of £34.7million – up 18% on 2008 and that’s during a recession – proving our golfing visitors are big business not just for Wales, but for each and every golf club!
• If that figure’s going to keep on rising, our Welsh Welcome needs to keep getting Warmer!
To make sure our Welsh Welcome is the Warmest it’s ever been, we’re offering FREE ‘Welcome to The 2010 Ryder Cup training to golf clubs in South Wales..........if you’ve participated in Visit Wales’ ‘Above Par Customer Service’ workshops, this is the perfect course to follow it up with.
‘Welcome to The 2010 Ryder Cup’ is a 45 minute, interactive course, developed in conjunction with Visit Wales.
It encourages you to develop best practice customer service by learning more about your local area, what’s on offer for visitors (other than golf!) and how best to utilise that knowledge to offer an authentic Warm Welsh welcome, leaving visitors in do doubt they’re in Wales.
Course Outline:
1. Croeso (Welcome) – What is this thing called Croeso, The power to make memories
2. Croeso i Gymru (Welcome to Wales) – What is Wales all about, What do we promise out visitors, Keeping it local, The sound of Wales
3. Visitor Care – Welcome as it should be, First impressions first, Things you can do , What if things go wrong, Who can you expect to meet
4. Summing Up
